Bald & Beautiful campaign was started by My Starfish Foundation (a public philanthropy platform in Malaysia) in the year 2012, and is a cancer awareness initiative aiming to gather participants to go bald and raise funds to:
- Accelerate the advancement of cancer research.
2. Support cancer patients and their families.
In 2021, LPA TEAM was thrilled to be a corporate partner of Bald & Beautiful 4.0. We encouraged our community to shave bald as a mental support to children suffering from cancer, or to raise funds as financial support to the beneficiaries. We’ve succeeded in gathering over RM 10,000 throughout the campaign period from 21st November to 31st December 2021. All of our proceedings was then donated to support Cancer Research Malaysia (CRMY) and Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS).
On Saturday 20th November 2021, we held a small event sponsored by Impressive Hair Studio at our office to support the campaign. Some of our partners and clients have gathered in the office to go bald together. At the same time, our company representative also managed to gather some community members in Kelantan to go bald together, which was supported by Jane Studio in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
Throughout the campaign, we also managed to encourage more community members to stand out and go bald together in support of this campaign.
